Five Fab Feb 2021 Highland To Dos

🐝 Indulge in a unique Valentines Day Beekeeping experience with your beau, in a backyard in beautiful Bowral! Choose from a morning or afternoon session which includes honey tastings, scones & a glass of local bubbles. Then suit up for a guided tour of the hives & learn about the lives of amazing honey bees. Sounds like a really special Valentines Day activity to me!

👣 Knock the socks off your family & friends with your barefoot bowling skills at Bowral Bowling Club! Kids welcome too of course. The hills of the Highlands are your pretty backdrop once you stop for a refreshment or meal. If you’re more of a night owl, you can always indulge in the music of Mahalia Barnes in a ticketed & intimate event on the evening of Feb 8 inside the Bowling Club.

🍷 Eat & drink your way around the beautiful wineries & breweries of the Southern Highlands with Marc’s Highland Tours. It’s a really fun day tour for private groups of up to 10 people which includes informative visits to wineries/breweries, a light lunch and many opportunities to get snap happy!

👟Take the boardwalk in beautiful Bundanoon. Do a lovely circuit walk starting near the station, down Constitution Hill via Church St, left into Governors St which quickly becomes a pretty bush track with intermittent boardwalk winding its way through pretty paddocks & grand gums. Exit the track via Panorama Rd, walking back up the hill through the town to Railway St for a well-deserved recharge & refuel at one of Bundy’s great cafes: Potters Pantry, Jumping Rock Café or Delilicious. Spoilt for choice!

🍏 Shop & support local at Exeter Village Market first Saturday morn of the month. Set in the grounds of the historic Exeter Hall & oval & just over the road from St Aidan’s Church, it’s such a pretty setting to explore & support approximately 50 outdoor & diverse local makers & producers stalls. Check out the details on Visit Southern Highlands for all the other weekend Highland markets on in Feb too.
